Five dogs (3 in S.T. colony on NE shore,
and 2 in S.T.colony on SW shore) and two
cats in SW colony.
Rattus seen frequently in S.T.
colonies, and in village.
Phoenix Island
30 Sept.
Approximately 350 rabbits w/ light
to medium fat.
Christmas Island
28-30th.
Cats abundant. 20+ flesh samples taken.
MOTU Upua: Mus murinus size modest
seen as well as rats that are size
of R. exulans.
30 Oct.
LOST ISLAND: 4 rats sp!

REPTILES-GREEN SEA TURTLE
Hull Island
Large & turtle (4'x4') found at
edge of Naevola on ocean beach at
Sooty Tern colony. Remains of 4 turtles
found on ridge slopes at new
S.T. colony.
Phoenix Island
30 Sept.
One dead adult (3'x3') in
center of L Frigate colony (rotting)
and one dead adult (3'x3') bird
lagoon.
Six hatchling (live) plus one
dead one found at top edge of
beach near camp.
