Christmas Island 28 Oct. COOK ISLAND: 30+ seen over raft on way to Cook Isln. MAIN ISLAND: 50+ seen around ponds between London and NE point. 3 collected from group of 15. Most birds ad. SPECIES ACCOUNT HAWAIIAN NODDY Fleet 1965. Hawland Island 16 Sept. One escorted from lighthouse, by Walden, at 0630. One seen on dead Cordia, in center of island, by Arreman, at 1530 hrs. 17 Sept. One seen roosting in dead Crisia by Flut & Arreman. McKean Island 21 Sept. onerooting 100+ around rock walls. One one off. Hulei Island 27Sept. 2000 birds counted, about 1/3 on nests with eggs on chain of islands on NE side of lagoon; Phoenix Island 30 Sept. Counted 200 birds roosting in center of lagoon. Endersburg Island 03 Oct. Appoximately 18 eggs and 8 hatchlings present. Many roosting birds. On evening of 02 Oct saw concentrated flock of 2000 birds fly into island from Walson and land for guano pile.
