Tepuka Island (7)
Nov. 20, 1963
Arrived this island 1100 hours from
Itanoka rein. Field party consisted
of R. Fleet, W. King, P. Au, and S. Oyama.
Island is about 300 feet long and 150'
wide. It is a rock rising 28' out
of the ocean, its sides undercut which
make landings extremely difficult.
A single Chinese Steller Dove was
seen; plant samples were taken (3
species). At 1130 hours we left
the island.
