(10) first about 20 feet from shore (last chart). The last Wedgetail was found at the end of the island when the veg. was much thicker. The white-tailed tropic birds were circling above island and left after we had been there for about 30 min. There is a possibility that they may be nesting on the cliffs of the seaward side. Nov. 21, 1963 visited & landed from Tucker point arriving at 11:10 hours. Wedgetail shorewater numbers had been previously marked and 34 individuals were banded. This included 15 birds that had not been previously marked. New finding is that this figure of 34 immature represents about 75% of total immature population. A Wedgetail and a White-tailed Tropic bird were seen. Plant samples were collected for identification. Left island at 12:06 hours. Field party consisted of T.Glot & W. King.
