Hawaiian Noddy - Eight to nine hundred roosting in scaevola.
Common Noddy - 600-800. Fifty plus with eggs. Eggs to flying young.
Observed two nests in bushes.
Sooty Tern - Remnants of large colony. Five hundred remain - adults and
flying young.
Grey-backed Tern - estimated thirty adults, ten flying immatures.
Red-tailed Tropicbird - two immatures, one local. One adult.
Wedge-tailed Shearwater - 3500+. All downy young.
Bonin Island Petrel - Saw six, heard more, just coming in to island.
Maybe 25 total.
Christmas Island Shearwater - Saw one pair and three individuals. No
evidence of breeding.
Fairy Tern - Three flew over island on morning of 9/17.
Ruddy Turnstone - estimated 500.
Golden Plover - " 50.
Wandering Tattler " 5
Bristle-thighed Curlew - counted 29.
Monk Seal: counted 33 seals.
