Fleet, R. 1964--notes by species--Kure 19 Golden Flower March 21 Have been about 80-100 on island since I arrived. About March 7 black breast plumage began to appear and now covers entire breast in mottled fashion on all birds. March 30 Observed flocks of 35-45-25, etc., today during shorebird count. Count is up almost 100% in afternoon. Have noticed flocks up to 20 individuals for last 3 days. April 29(Caught Euddy Turnstone in rat trap today.) May 25 Drastic decrease in shorebirds.
