Fleet, R. 1964--notes by species--Kure 16 Christmas Island Shearwater March 11 Captured and banded one individual in SA-2 (night). Eighth bird found during study, 1st this season. March 14 Captured one bird on night of 12th and 3 on night of 13th. March 19 These birds seem much less nervous than Wedge-tails. March 24 Saw 5 pair of these birds in air over station area. Time was 0700. March 30 Have reason to believe that this species is much more common here than previously suspected. Several (4) birds seen in dense scaevola of central roost. April 26 BN#76611 egg in SA-2 about 0900 hours. Egg is elongate and about same width as Bonin and all white.
