C. G. Loran Station, Sand Island, Johnston Island Atoll notified Ken and began packing. We were to leave for Johnston at 11 a.m. This we did after paying all bills and thanking Lt. Hayes for his help and cooperation. The plane left on time and took four hours to get to Hickam AFB. By 6 p.m. we were checked in at the Skylane Inn. After checking on our tickets we went to Mr. Mike Chang's residence and chatted awhile. Mike was on Sand Island for a week. At about 11:30 p.m. we went to bed.
