Heretofore, I had seen no indications of muskrats along the river banks. I saw nothing this day which proclaimed the presence of muskrats, but set three no. 0 traps, using potato for bait. I set the other two traps as I returned to camp. Since the establishment of this camp, lack of bait has been a hindrance to effective trapping for the carnivores.
