At a place where Mr. Konrad had had timber cut 2 years past, we noticed the good growth that had been made by thimble- and salmon berry. A salmon berry shoot of 1 year's growth was over six feet tall. Russell and I left Konrads and returned to camp. A heavy rain started and we spent the remainder of the afternoon in camp. We packed our equipment and left camp for Berkeley at 7:00 P.M. M.V.Z. Berkeley, Calif. Oct. 12, 1935. We arrived at Lane's Redwood Flat, on the Redwood highway at 2:00 A.M., slept there until 7:00 A.M. and then continued on our way to Berkeley. Arrived at M.V.Z., Berkeley, at 3:00 P.M.
