Feathers. 1934, July 13. Japon Canyon, 5900 ft., Mt. Grant, Mineral Co., Nev. I caught two gophers near camp and pre- pared the skins. July 14. Russell and I drove up to my coyote setting and found a coyote in two of the traps. I skinned it in the morning. Three traps had been used in the setting, which was approximately ½ mi. S.E. of camp. In the afternoon, we moved to Cottonwood Creek. Cottonwood Creek, 7400 ft., Mt. Grant, Mineral Co., Nev. July 15 I shot a green-tailed towhee and a white- crowned sparrow near camp. The skins were put up later in the day. In the evening I shot three pipistrelles at camp. July 16 I put up the three bats in the morning. Later I killed and pickled a rattlesnake. I also shot a Hammond flycatcher near camp and put up the skin. July 17 E. Walker R., 5050 ft., 2 mi. NW Morgano Ranch, Mineral Co., Nev. The morning was occupied in moving from Cottonwood Creek to the above location.
