Feathers 1934 July 7. 3 mi. S Shurg, 4100 ft., Mineral Co., Nev. The morning was spent in moving to the above location, where we made camp, just before noon. In the afternoon, I shot a hairy woodpecker and a warbling vireo, near camp. July 8. I put up the hairy woodpecker and the warbling vireo, which I shall shoot the previous day. Later in the day, I shot a leopard lizard, a western solitary sandpiper and a pipistrelle. July 9. During spare moments, I put up the sandpiper and the pipistrelle. July 10. I shot a red-breasted nuthatch from a cottonwood near the river. I also shot a yellow warbler and a bullock oriole from cottonwoods within a few hundred yards of camp. In the evening, I shot a silvery-haired bat. I put up the birds during the afternoon. Lagon Canyon, Mt. Grant, 8900 ft., Mineral Co., Nev. July 11. I put up the lacionystus in the morning. The rest of the day was occupied in moving to the above location, where we arrived about 2:30 P. M. July 12. I caught a thronomys quadratus near camp and prepared the skin subsequently. Later in the day, I set three steel traps for coyote, 1/2 mi SE of camp.
