Feathers. 1934. Berkeley, California. Feb. 14, 1934. (cont.) in order to collect our gopher traps. Two Gophers were taken; one by Fitch and one by myself. They were caught three miles west of Hiko Spring, on the road to Searchlight. Fitch discovered a chuckwalla lizard atop a rock, which I shot for him; my gun being handy. We drove on to Barstow and spent the night there. Feb. 15, 1934. Left Barstow about 9:05 A.M. Arrived without incident in Oakland at 9:15 P.M.
