Noon to dark, and to lla.m. Clear, warm, and breezy. 92 species of birds were seen, among which - notable: All herons were seen, except the Com. and Least Bitterns. Glossy Ibis were common White Ibis immature with glossys at first main-road viewpoint enroute to beach. All diving ducks, except Ruddy were absent. All dabbling ducks present except European Widgeon. Royal Terns Pair of Snow Geese - Crips? Caspian Terns Mute Swans and young Black Terns -imm. plumage 38 Com. Canada Geese present, too. Black Skimmer - 6 in marsh Clapper Rail Yellow-bill and Black-bill Cuckoos Am. Oystercatcher - pair Ruby-thrt Hummers Wilson Plover Purple Martins still present Golden Plover - 3, Black Plover - 2½ Brown-hd Nuthatch Ruddy Turnstones in fields, not at shore.
