Justice Douglass's report of a Pileated Woodpecker in the Maroon Bells south of Aspen but I notice the Preliminary "Colorado Breeding Data for Select Bird Species, May 1976" prepared by Dr. W. D. Graul of the Colorado Division of Wildlife lists Pileated Woodpecker as a small "b" possibly breeding in two "lati-longs" in northwest Colorado although the records committee hasn't accepted the species as officially on the Colorado list.
Sincerely,
Ron

P.S. - Any more? I'm trying to collect specimens of rarities since they're so "picky" on sight obs. unless a photo + pages of detail are included!
