Rock Dove - 1 at E end of WH 3475 Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 called near S gate along East Exec. Avenue in tall trees. Blue Jay - 1 in shrubbery by children's play pool next to tennis courts. Huddled-up. Fish Crow - 1 at W end of WH Mockingbird - 3 pr. 1 pr. A E and W of S portico of WH, and one SW of tennis courts. Robin - 1 adult M flushed from Cedrus deadora on W Jefferson mound. Starlings - 85 - in shrubs, on ledges of protected S side of WH, and in taller trees, as well as flying over. Also at feeder near President Nixon's office. House Sparrows - 69 - concentrated on south side at far east end of reception wing, and in dense shrubbery south of bldg., and about feeder and shrubs at dog compound and next to Presidents office. Cardinal - 1 female in garden area E of south Portico, and pair in childrens playground-tennis courts area, close to denser shrubbery.
