Drawn down about 50'. Held less than 1/4 of total capacity on November 1, 1949. Sparrow Hawk Monterey Red-shafted Flicker Sacramento Brown Towhee Golden-crowned Sparrow - calling Gambel White-crowned Sparrow Nov. 15, 1949, Stony Gorge Reservoir, Stony Creek, Glenn Co. Calif. 1500-1520. 90' drawdown. Only 1/42 full on Nov. 1, 1949. The caretaker says that there is no waterfowl summering in the res- ervoir area, but that there is much use in mid-winter (January) and this is composed mostly of geese use.
