Canada Geese - 180 in grain field W of Sutter Buttes
Vultures - W of Sutter Buttes - at least 250 circling over thermal of large brush fire.
Black Phoebes
Say Phoebe W of Cutter Butte on barren lands, on fence post.
Tree Swallows on fence along Afton-Biggs Road at 2 p.m., Butte Co. - 30 seen.
Barn Swallows - 6 with the Tree swallows
Yellow-billed Magpies - many seen, numbers ranging from scattered small groups of 4 or 6 up to large flocks of 120-125 individuals. Flocks were mostly in fields and on barren, rocky pastureland W and S of Sutter Buttes. Total 1200+
California Shrikes
Western Meadowlarks W. Lark Sparrows common.
Tri-colored Redwings - 350-400 in flock, flushed from willow thicket at edge of marsh.
Brewer Blackbirds - 1000's on highway pavement and shoulder on Princeton-Colusa road.
