Blue Heron - Willow Red-tailed Hawk Sparrow Hawk Phasant California Quail - 15 Horned Larks Meadowlark Brewer Blackbird Drawn down to minimum pool, with small area of exposed sedge. Exposed areas become exposed to reservoir at upper end. No influx of vegetation or water seen. October 17, 1951, Farmington Reservoir Area, San Joaquin Co. Calif. 1045-105PST Small patch of open water, with luxuriant growth of cattails at edge to the north of Littlejohn Creek above dam. Red-tailed Hawk Sparrow Hawk Phasants - 3M California Quail - 8 Coots - 30 Killdeer Red-shafted Flicker Say's Phoebe - 3 Horned Larks Piping Plover - 3 California Gull, Blue-wing Meadowlark Bicolor Redwing Brewer Blackbird House Finches and Green-backed Goldfinches in large mixed flock in dry black-eye grass weedpatch. Red-tailed Hawk - 2 juv. Amer. Rough-legged Hawk - 1 Marsh Hawk - Ju, HF and/or juv. Sparrow Hawk - J Phasants - SM & SF Coots - Ju Killdeer - 4 Red-shafted Flicker - about 10 W.
