Sparrow Hawk - 10 seen. Killdeer - 1 near Madera in irrigated area. Mourning Dove - 6 Western Kingbird - 4 Horned Larks - a total of 68 over entire distance. In the few miles where this species is usually concentrated, the following counts/road mile were made: 16, 45, 1, 2,. . . . California Jay - 1 at San Joaquin R. Rock Wren - 2 in rocky area near west end of horned lark concentration.
