Calif. 945-1015 a.m. Red-throated loon - immature - 1 Brown Pelican - 1 Farallon Cormorant - 1 Blue Heron - 3 Snowy Egret - 1 Black-crowned Night Heron - 15 Black Brant - 2 on mud flat in north arm. Black-bellied plover - 4 Semi-palmated plover - 12 Long-billed Curlew - 6 Godwits - 50 Willet - 75 Red-backed sandpiper - 15 Least and Western Sandpipers - 250 Dowitcher - 30 Avocet - 2 Western Gull - 60 Caspian Tern - 12 Common Tern - 8 Forster's Tern - 25 Least Tern - 6 Barn Swallow - 1 Brewer Blackbird House Finches - flocks on sand dune flowers and shrubs. Their density varied, but two different counts showed 120 and 125 passing a giving point/minute.
