Mallards Vulture Red-tailed Hawk Sparrow Hawk Barn Swallows Black-billed Magpies Meadowlark Red-wings Brewer Blackbirds May 26, 1951, Abert Lake, SE side, Lake Co. Oregon. 1645-1715PDST. Eared Grebes - 12 Canada Goose - 3 pairs with 2, 5, and 9 young. While on the bank, the young were mixed in a loose flock, but they segregated into their right groups as they moved towards the water at our approach. Mallards- 6 Cinnamon Teal - 4 Redhead - 6 Vultures - 8 Mourning Dove - 8 White-throated Swift - 2 Black-billed Magpie W. Crow Redwings, Nevada? Brewer Blackbird Sage Sparrow May 26, 1951, Valley Falls to Fort Rock Jct., Lake Co. 1715-1920PDST. Oregon. Common Egret - 2 Black-crowned Night Heron - 1 Canada Geese - many seen, and many with young, mostly of larger size than those seen at Abert Lake, but still with down, gray. 12 adults alone. Also 7 pair in flock with 24 young. Young seen in family groups of 4, 4, 8, and 3, with pairs of adults. Mallards Cinnamon Teal - 26 pairs Vulture Marsh Hawk Sparr w Hawk Pheasants - 1 pair Valley Quail S andhill Cranes - 2 at Summer Lake Coots Killdeer Willets - 4 California Gull Common Tern Mourning Dove - 149 seen along road. Flicker Lewis Woodpeckers - 3 Barn Swallows Horned Larks Black-billed Magpies W. Crows Ravens Rock Wrens Sage Thrasher Shrike, with dark back Redwings Brewer Blackbirds Yellow-headed Blackbirds
