Gadwall - several on pond in dark phase. Baldpates - on pond in resaca Green-winged teal - 3 or 4 on open pond. Blue-winged teal - 25-30, over half full male adults. Shoveler - several full males, with others. Black Vulture Krider's Red-tailed Hawk - perched in tree in open field. B. J. KRIDERI Marsh Hawk Sparrow Hawk Coot Long-billed Curlew - about 15 seen in fields Herring Gulls common Gull-billed Tern - GELOCHELIDON NILOTICA ARRAVER - new life lister - over open pond water-salty. Least Tern - over open salt water ponds. STEANA ALBIFRONS Shrike Logy Warbler Audubon Warbler English Sparrows Great-tailed Grackles common C. m. mexicanus Cardinal - 1 bright male beside the road. CAROLINENSIS Double-crested Cormorants together with smaller Mexican Cormorants - P. OLIVACEUS MEXICANUS - new life lister - Great Blue Heron Louisiana Heron - HYDRONASSA TRICOLOR RUFICOLLIS new life lister - wading in bay, near blue heron. Reddish Egret - in dark phase. Pintails Redheads - a few close to shore, but rafts of them offshore from 1/8 to 1/2 mile. Red-breasted Merganser Harris Hawk Ruddy Turnstone - Black-bellied Plover Yellow-legs Willetts Dowitcher Red-backed Sandpiper Western or least Sandpipers Herring Gull Laughing Gull - LAKUS ATRICILLA - new life lister - perched on sand spit at edge of Laguna. Gave call several times. Sabine's Gull - XEMA SABINI - new life lister - some perched on sand spits, and a few flying, thus giving good view of black and white pattern on wings. Gull-billed Terns G.
