L-,RW- Arctic Loon - 1 Eared Grebe Western Grebe - 37 Pied-billed Grebe Brown Pelican - 3 Farallon Cormorant - 6 American Egret - 10 Snowy Egret - 2 Canada Goose - 26 Black Brant - a total of about 9,800 in 3 main bunches in east and central bay areas. Localites state the brant arrived soon after mid-November. Depart late Feb & Mar. Mallard - 180 Pintails - 250 Green-winged Teal - 60 Buffleheads - 4 in winter plumage Surf Scoters American Mergansers - 7, 1 oil soaked. Coots - 400-500 Killdeer Godwit - 850-900 in one solid pack, and about 850 others. Willet - 800-1,000 feeding in Salicornia Bay areas. Long-billed Curlew - 50 Red-backed Sandpiper - 150 Western and Least Sandpipers - 5-6,000 Avocets - 350-400 Western Gull Herring Gull Kingfisher Black Phoebe Say Phoebe - 2 Marsh Wren Ruby-crowned Kinglet Nuttall's White-crowned Sparrows Golden-crowned Sparrow S.
