Vultures - Mourning Doves California Woodpeckers Western Kingbirds Black Phoebe Cliff swallows - many Meadowlark Brewer Blackbird Green-backed Goldfinches Sacramento Brown Towhees August 3, 1950, Clear Lake, Lake Co. around lake from NE to W, S, and back to E along the south side of lake. 1015-1400 PDST. Western Grebes - most common waterbird Pied-billed Grebes White Pelican - 3 Blue Heron American Egret Mallard - 42 seen on Golden-shiner pond, near Nice. All in eclipse plumage.
