Observed one single hen with 10 chicks and another single hen with 13 chicks, not over 2-3 days old. Ring-necked Ducks - about 15M and 10F Coots - about 23 seen. Monterey Red-shafted Flicker California Woodpecker Interior California Jay Robins - 2 pairs seen. Cedar Waxwings - flock of 18 flew over Cassin Vireo in budding elm trees. English Sparrows Brewer Blackbirds in trees and on the ground Common Goldfinches - few in with Green-backed Goldfinches - dozens calling constantly, and singing from budding trees in the park. 1550
