February 26, 1950, Southside Park, Sacramento, California - 1745-1800 PST - dusk.
Pied-billed Grebe - 5 - one gave call.
Snow Goose - pulling grass on dirt margin of lake.
Mallards - about 14 pair and a few single drakes - calm until dusk, when they
began flying around the lake and park.
Pintail - 2 males
Ring-billed Ducks - 24M and 10F or imm.
Canvasback - 2M
Lesser Scaup - 2F or imm.
Coots - 40
California Jays
Brewer Blackbirds in trees and bushes of islands at dusk.
