MCFADREN'S SWAMP
14 miles south of CORVALLIS, BENTON CO., OREGON

With Charlie Traub
Just stopped by on the bridge. Water stillover road somewhat.
Pied-billed Grebe - Charlie spotted one along edge of dike road.
Canada Goose - A few in the air, around 50, but these were probably
some we saw earlier on the Failing estate.
Mallard - 25 flew over in the little time were were there, about
5 minutes.
Pintails - In the few minutes werwere there small flocks of ducks
kept flying low and southward ove r swamp. They didn't appeer
to stop. These flocks included mostly pins. About 100 in all.
Almost all of these birds were males.

Scaup - 4
Ruddy Duck - 7
Red-wings.
