PILKINGTON NURSERY Water very high Mallard - 65 Baldpate - 25. FAILING ESTATE We didn't get very far here before road was covered with water. Canada Goose - 500 plus. We watched small groups come from west side of Muddy Cr. from over trees. Couldn't get to field they were coming from because of water. Didn't see all of them. MCFADDEN'S SWAMP Didn't get far here either. Water across dike road too deep for car. Canada Goose - 500 in field on east side between [illegible] railroad and swamp. Not same birds as above, as above birds flew north. Coot - about 25. We didn't try to cover any of swamp because of such high water. FIELD SEVERAL MILES NORTH OF SWAMP Canada Goose - About 100 in rye grass ? field with Snow Goose - 20 of them. Included 6 or 6 young. Were first about 10 present. Then about 10 more came in.MM Should have said about 20. They kept getting behind each other. We counted a number of times, and got from 18 to 23. CORVALLIS At 9th and Van Buren - Flock of Cedar Waxwings. About 12 of them.
