Snowy Egret - 450 American Egret - 1 Glossy Ibis - 900-1000 Mallard - 1500& Gadwall - 75-100 Pintail - 8,000 Blue-winged and Cinnamon Teal - 2200 Green-winged Teal - 500-550 Shoveller - 50-40 Vulture - 2 Marsh Hawk - 1 Goots - 800-1000 Snowy Plover - 300 Killdeer - 200-250 Dowitcher - 1500 Western Sandpipers and Least Sandpipers - 4000 Avocets - 3500-4000 Black-necked Stilt - 200-250 Wilson Phalaropes - 75-100 Northern Phalaropes - 300-350 *6-8 dead pintails and cinnamon or blue-winged teals in less than 1/2-acre area of upper Toulon Sink. Also dead were avocets, stilts, and killdeer. One dying stilt had legs folded and didn't have strength to use wings to stand up, if it could. Dowitchers, ibis, sandpipers and herons still OK. Virginia Rail - 1 immature. Wilson Snipe - 2 Killdeer - 1 Solitary Sandpiper - 5 in mud flats of small pond.
