Brewster Screech Owls - "barking" from Big-leaf Maples off and on, all night. Pacific Nighthawks - a pair in couring flight over gravel bar at big bend in river - 7 am Kingfisher Flicker Wood Pewee Olive-sided Flycatcher Violet-green Swallow Tree Swallow Rough-winged Swallow Barn Swallow Cliff Swallow Crow Oregon Chickadee Russet-backed Thrush Robin Bluebirds Lutescent Warbler Yellow Warbler Pacific Yellowthroat Evening Grosbeaks Purple Finch Green-backed Goldfinch Chipping Sparrow Junco White-crowned Sparrow Song Sparrow June 26, 1947, Coburg, Lane Co, to Halsey, Linn Co., 9 a.m. to 1030 a.m. Vulture Marsh Hawk male Sparrow Hawk Bobwhite Pheasants Mourning Love Rufous Hummingbird Horned Larks Violeg-gree Swallow Robin Cedar Waxwing Yellow Warbler Seattle Wren Pacific Yellowthroats Meadowlarks Brewer Blackbirds Lazuli Buntings Willow Goldfinches Towhee Vesper Sparrow Song Sparrow June 26, 1947, Twin Buttes, Linn Co. 1040 a.m. Lark Sparrows - 3 or 4 were seen perched on fence posts along a little-used road, and their calls were given while I watched. Only one was a full adult.
