Rufous Hummingbird Ruffed Grouse - Watched one for about a minute sneak into the brush from a recently burnt out blackberry thicket Raven - calling from nearby field. Harris Woodpecker - calling from maple Violeg-Green Swallow - overhead Oregon Chickadee - giving mating whistles from cottonwood along creek Bushtit - calling. Seattle Wren House Wren - singing from farmyard. Calaveras Warbler - Heard a familiar song from the Fremont, which I thought might be a calaveras warbler. Sure enough, one was dis- covered singing from a big maple tree. Later traced down another song which turned out to be another calaveras singing a different song. The latter song was similar to the lazuli bunting song. The former something like an Audubon Warbler. The first one sang for an hour, stopped for about a half hour at 10:30 and be- gan again at 11:00 and continued often on until we left. Black-throated Gray Warbler - Quite a few of them heard singing. Saw only one. MacGillivrsy Warbler - singing from brush. Cassin Vireo - singing. Two in one tree. Hutton Vireo - heard singing.
