White Pelican - there were between 25 and 30 of them scattered over the south end of the reservoir. At a distance, one bird appeared to be on a nest. Farallon Cormorants - at least a half dozen were seen perched on dead snags over water. Blue Herons - many were seen everywhere Anthony Green Heron - one seen at edge of the water on the road cut of the south road. Mallard female flushed from small pond below the dam. Hooded Merganser and young (I didn't have a chance to count them, but at least 5 seen). Vulture Valley Quail Pheasants Virginia Rail Sora Rail Killdeer Spotted Sandpipers - several pairs seen. One had nest on exposed gravel bar below dam.
