March 25, 1949 - Mills-Fair Oaks, Sacramento Co. 1630-1730.
W. Redtailed Hawks
Marsh Hawks - 4 or 5 pairs over the gravel-barrens. Watched one female or immature
male doing loop dives of decreasing height, with complete wing-over at top of loop.
Duck Hawk - one "playing around" with redtailed hawk.

Western Meadowlarks - common everywhere, and I flushed one flock of over 300 birds.
