Sooty Grouse - none heard hooting, but on the way out, one walked ahead of the car for 10 or 15 feet and flew-jumped up on the bank beside the road where it watched us, and then non-chalantly walked off a few feet further, just like a chicken. Pine Siskins - a few Towhees present Oregon Juncos common, and many seemed to have nests. Puget Sound Sparrows - pair c arraying food to young in nest in Poison Oak and Hazel thicket near base of old fir stump, on top of bank beside the road - exposed.
