Young Towhee Young Seattle Wren Violet-Green Swallow Bobwhite Olive Flycatcher Lewis Woodpecker Chickadee Robin Junco Flicker Valley Quail Vesper Sparrow Cassin Vireo Wood Thrush I spent a lot of time looking for nests along the trail and I found several good ones to climb for when I get ready. This is an excellent woods for bird study as it is brushy and well away from roads ( nearly 1/2 mile away.) As I got back to my bicycle I came into a large patch of wild black caps. I picked about 4 or 5 cups and carried them home in my hanky. On my way out to the road I found a Bob White egg that had been punched and drained. I also collected the Robin's nest that I found on May 18. The one the California Jay had robbed.
