Towhee Flicker Sharp-shinned Hawk Bullock Oriole Bluebird Wesper Sparrow Mourning Dove Stellar Jay xxCedar Waxwing xxxBush Tit x Bullock's Oriole was flying across road at bottom of hill 1/4 mile south of Eldon's xx We saw 8 or 10 Cedar Waxwings. They were perched on snags in the swamp in Eldon's Woods. We got within 4 or 5 feet of them and fully appreciated the fine color designs on the bird. It was the first waxwings Eldon had ever seen. xxx We came into the middle of a family of them. The young ones would come with in two or three feet of our faces as we stood in the brush. This was just a short trip on his own farm. We spent most of the time trying to get a Thrush? nest out of an Ash tree 30 feet up. We're going to use climbing spurs next time to get it.
