It was sitting in the top of an as yet, leafless Ash tree. ** This was the first Audubon Warbler I have ever seen. I had never looked for them before /as I thought they were just some type of sparrow. There WERE several kinds of sparrows, warblers that I saw, but that I was not able to identify. Turkey Buzzards lit in tree directly above me. When it took off, it stretches its body and spreads its wings as if it were flying;: then it jumps off without beating its wings. ***These creepers were on the Oak trees in the swamp area I was in. Conspicuous white spots hn back and on wings when folded.. They go around a tree spirally. AND UP All of these birds were seen in an area no large than a city block.. A combination of a ditch from a grain field and pasture and a grove of Oak trees with sparse underbrush.. Thickets to the south. Pasture and Fir trees to the north.. Grain fields to west and east.
