1 West Mexican Kingbird (Tyrannus melancholicus) seen at Seal Slough (above Topock) on 1st. First autumn Horned Larks, 2 at Seel and 2 north of Vidal Junction on 21st. A straggler Rough-winged Swallow seen at Parker Dam on 23rd. Last Barn Swallow, 1 above Topock on 26th. 1 Sage Thrasher on Colorado River Indian Reservation on 18th. First Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 1 at Topock on 7th. First Water Pipit, 1 at Needles Landing on 2nd. 1 Cedar Waxwing seen in Bill Williams Delta on 13th, 7 at Seel on 21st. Phainopeplas seen regularly after 6th, but not in numbers until about 15th. Last Black-throated Gray Warbler, 1 above Topock on 7th. First migrating Western MeadowLarks, 3 near Needles on 2nd. First Pina Siskins, 1 at Topock and 1 above Topock on 15th. 4 Vesper Sparrows and 6 Lark Sparrows seen on Colorado River Indian Reservation on 18th. First Juncos were 3 Shufeldt Juncos and 1 Pink-sided Junco in Black Meadow Wash in Whipple Mountains on 23rd. 1 Lincoln Sparrow seen at Topock on 29th, probably the last of the season, as it does not seem to winter in this area.
