Audubon's Warblers - 1 flock roving through hazel brush English Sparrows - near Service station at Lewisburg. Meadowlark - one singing from 15' perch in fence row. W. Evening Grosbeak - Small flock in the fir timber, calling. Purple Finch - several small groups in the fir tree tops, calling. Pine Siskin - 3 small groups heard and seen. Red Crossbill - 1 group of 10 and one of 6 flying over high. Towhee Brewer-Blackbird Junco Savannah Sparrow - several seen in the brush, and up in small trees. White-crown Sparrow - Quite a few seen - some with the "Goldens" Golden-crown Sparrow - Many, many large flocks in the fence rows along themad. Fox Sparrow - In dense, brush, in fir woods. Song Sparrow November 3, 1946, Stewart Lake, 1 p.m. Clear and windy. 55°F Mallards - 50-70 present about equal male and female. Greenwing-Teal - 8 to 10 seen. Wilson Snipe - 2 flushed from vegetation at water's edge. Killdeer Flicker Horned Lark Purple Finch Juncos Savannah Sparrow - 2 in grass at edge of pond. Flew into ash trees when flushed. Golden-crowned Sparrow - a flock of 15-20 in the willow-rose brush.
