Sept. 24, 1946 - Woodburn, Ore., 10 a.m. Two flights of Lesser Canada geese heading SE.-High- 4p.m. - Kelso, Washington 2 or 3 Vultures seen Sept. 25, 1946 - Woodland Wash. - 2 p.m. Just one Vulture seen over the hills there. Sept. 29, 1946 - "Prison Oak" Lake - One Vulture soaring over high, heading south. " " " Stewart Lake - Wood Ducks abundant now. Oct 7, 1946 - Corvallis - The plaintive notes of the Golden-crowned Sparrow are common now. Oct. 8, 1946 - Corvallis, Stewart Lake, 11/2 a.m. Large flock of Mallards & Wood Ducks (30-50) present. a (150) beautiful sight to see as they circled the lake after being flushed. Also one Lesser Canada Goose was on the lake & it flushed with the ducks. Rather dull tan-gray body & tail was black with white band Oct. 10, 1946 - Corvallis, O.S.U. Oct 20, 1946 - 2 p.m. - Windy + rainy Corvallis A Belted Kingfisher sat on a picket of the back fence at this place. 410 N.-16th. Only perched for a minute & flew on south.
