Surf Scoter California Sea Gulls Belted Kingfisher Lewis Woodpecker -- One pair of them in a dead tree near town of Alsea. Western Bluebirds Ruddy Turnstones -- Large bands of them on the rocks at Yachats and also at Heceta Head. Very noisy, bold, and stayed very close to the edge of the waves. Juncos Song Sparrows Sanderlings -- One small flock of them.
