January 17, 1943 Continued: 12 mile swamp.
Marsh or Tule Wren -- One scolded me from the brush along the edge of
the swamp.
Raven --
Cooper's Hawk -- Sitting on a fence post near a large flock of geese
in an open field.
American Rough-legged Hawk. ---We saw two of these today plus one
dead young one not quite full grown. One flew over the marsh
and another was weaving in and out along a fence fow trying
to capture a Brewer's Blackbird.
Oregon Towhee
