Weather windy, cool, and rainy. Robin Lutescent Warbler Song Sparrow Meadowlark Flicker Crow China Pheasant White-crowned Sparrow Seattle Wren Audubon Warbler Oregon Junco Red-breasted Nuthatch Brewer Blackbird Oregon Chickadee Golden-crowned Kinglet Cassin Vireo Slender-billed Nuthatch Pacific Yellowthroat Ruby-crowned Kinglet English Sparrow Green-backed Goldfinch Violet-green Swallow Oregon Vesper Sparrow April 16, 1942 Fish and Game Management Laboratory. Stomach analysis (not including the crop) Dusky Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus saturatus) Collected 5 miles south of Corvallis. The stomach was nearly empty except for a quantity of flax seeds. The specimen was a male. Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus flammeus) -FeMale-- Collected in the Soap Creek area about 8 miles north of Corvallis. The stomach contained a pellet of black-blue and white fur, with bones of body and skull, that was identified as a Microtus or Meadow Mouse. California Gull --(Larus californicus) -- Male -- Collected April 12 at Klamath Falls. The stomach was entirely empty except for some unidentifiable seeds and some short hairs that were all about 1/8 inch long.
