Weather cloudy or foggy. With bird club. and Jennie Smith 3:30 to 5: p.m. 104 Brewer Blackbird Sparrow Hawk Western Bluebird Long-tailed Jay--Many of them in the grove. Flicker--Must have been over 50 of them. Gave many different call notes. Pipit--Flock flew overhead Ruby crowned Kinglet--Many in the brush in the grove Slender-billed Nuthatch--Several of these with the chickadees etc. Oregon Chickadee-- Oregon Junco A udubon Warbler--fairly large size flock of them in the trees and brush Crow--heard several of them Lesser Canada Geese --several of them in a v-formation flock with four Common Canada Gees e flying overhead. Gairdner Woodpecker Bob White--Single rose in front of Jennie Smith. China Pheasant --one in the woods and several flew beside the car from edge of road. Robin-- Myrtle Warbler--single specimen observed by me at very close range. The throat patch was a distinct grayish white. A few minutes earlier we heard the "spring song" of the Audubon and this may have been it. Seattle Wren-- Red-wing Blackbird Rusty Song Sparrow Western Red-tailed Hawk--Single flew out of the marsh Sharp-shinned Hawk --Flying over the highway. esies
