It was perched in an Ash tree about twenty feet above the ground. It looked almost twice as large as the Mourning Dove. The underparts were a pale red or pinkish shade. There was a whiteish bar around the rear base of the head. Under side of tail was white and upper part gray. Upper body seemed to be blue-green or similar.
