Erickson, 1933 Palm Springs. 2 Dec. 28, (cont.) Brush of location chiefly Burro weed and mesquite, Two birds seen on face of rocks of slope and in shrubs on sand below; one a Flycatcher = ? other [illegible] unidentified in brief time present. 10:30 - 11:30 - Watched birds in vacant lot at south edge of town. Saw Bay Throbe, Plumbeous Iratecatcher, Plainspiffle, and a number of Intermediate Sparrows, and English Sparrows. 3:30 - 4:00 - Set 29 traps, ½ mile east of town, in fine sand. 4:15 - 5:00 - Set 50 traps, south of town in sand along wash. Dec. 29, Collected traps 6:30-7:30. From those set ½ mile east of town, near air field, took 4 Dipodomys . 3♂'s weighed. 37.26, 40.49, 31.91; one ♀-34.80. From traps 1 mi. south of town in sand along wash took 4 Dipodomys 2♂'s weighed 37.51, 33.80, two ♀'s 29.30, 31.98; and 3 Perognathus , these only ones saved. The region one of course sand with a few small rounded rocks; vegetation creosote, mesquite, and Bee sage. One of 3 immature taken in wash, others on slightly higher bank. Spent from 7:15-11:00 climbing to Chino Cañon. Collected Baird Vren, Iratecatcher; saw Hermit Thrushes, Spotted Towhees, Brown Towhees, Flicker, left cañon 2:30. Day, bright, warm. Dec. 30, 7:30 - 9:00 - Climbed to Chino Cañon. Observed and collected birds. Birds seen: Hermit Thrush, Spotted Towhee, Brown Towhee,
