Tingjas Altas, Jan. 17, 1934. One seen in mesquite tree near point where one was taken on 15, collected; wing damaged by shot, bird saw refuge in thick cactelaw tangles of region; finally driven from this and secured as it fluttered across open area. 1 mi. east of Papago Well, Feb. 4, 1934. One flew over crest of hill into palo verde tree near point from which I was watching oak warren; collected. La Paz Slough, 7 1/2 mi. N of Ehrenberg, Yuma Co., Ariz. March 1. One in willows about slough, singing.
