Banded 400 Bottic’s 8:30 - 11:30.
The birds are sitting down on the
road and to the west of the transmitter
building again. They had not done
this since Jan 24. Many more are
roosting now, all over the island, and
tonight they extended 1/2-way down the
road from the trans. building. Also,
they are now sitting down as soon as
it gets dark rather than waiting for
the moon, which is an advantage for
no.

Feb 2
Banded 500 Bottic’s 9:30 - 11:30 pm.
First definite Footy egg turned up in
Dave's collection bag. From coloration,
one on rock and one found on north slope
are also Footy.
Tropic bird or egg is either well again
or a different bird. It has no tail
feathers but is white, not suffused
with the delicate pink, and seems
to have a different voice.
