Engler 1936 1/2 mi. N Uya, 6000 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. My 22 (amb.) soil was damp from an apparently heavy rain that occurred earlier in the afternoon. From this line of traps was taken: 1 Peognathus parvus, 1 Ectamius minimus, + 14 Pseudomyscus maniculatus. On the morning of the 22nd on the way to the traplines 3 coyotes were seen 2 were in an open field along with some cows. W.B. Russell shot at them at a distance of about 900 they ran about another 100 yds + turned to face us again. Antelope was again seen about 4 mi. 5 Dinner. The ground was still wet from the rain of the previous day. Microtus mordax + M. montanus were taken by D.C. Smiley, & E.R. Hall in the same hay field. The M. montanus was taken near a pool of water.
